A Wilmington native, J.D. returned to the Port City in 2023 after earning his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University. His practice encompasses a broad range of civil litigation, including business disputes and real estate matters, as well as providing support in municipal cases.

J.D. is a firm believer in the principle that “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” To that end, he assists the firm’s business clients in various transactional matters, including entity formation and dissolution, succession planning, and asset acquisition.

Outside the office, J.D. enjoys the area’s natural beauty by surfing, golfing, or spending time outdoors with his wife, Ashley, and their two dogs.
